Agora Coletivo

A gente fez muito mistério sobre os artistas que estavam no elenco e na narração em áudio do Cartografia (mais um fragmento da Obra em Progresso), tudo para não estragar o efeito da infiltração no espaço público. Deu certo, pois outros artistas coincidentemente cruzaram nosso caminho e interagiram espontaneamente com a intervenção na rua, assim como um bocado de gente que não é artista também.

Mas quem assistiu ao acontecimento descobriu a certa altura todos os que dele faziam parte e agora é hora de dar os merecidos créditos a esta gente cheia de talento.

Now it’s the credits

We made a lot of mystery about the artists who were in the cast and the audio narration of Cartography (another fragment of the Work in Progress), all in order not to spoil the effect of infiltration in the public space. It worked, because other artists coincidentally crossed our path and interacted spontaneously with the intervention on the street, as well as a lot of people who are not artists.

But those who attended the event discovered at a certain point all those who were part of it and now it is time to give the deserved credits to these people full of talent.

Cartografia funciona assim: você vai ao saguão do Teatro Guaíra (Curitiba-PR) levando o seu rádio FM e seu fone de ouvido. Só lá você vai conseguir sintonizar a nossa rádio, que emite ondas de curto alcance.

Aí você vai acompanhar uma narrativa em áudio enquanto é convidado a olhar para o espaço público através dos vidros.

O que se passa lá? A vida, a cidade, as pessoas ocupando o espaço conforme o modo que acreditam precisar dele, talvez uns artistas intervindo ali, talvez isso seja coisa da sua cabeça pois-o-povo-é-louco-mesmo-e-isso-super-acontece-o-tempo-todo, definitivamente uns artistas intervindo ali, definitivamente este povo é louco, definitivamente nada disso faz sentido, definitivamente as pessoas procuram sentido em tudo e ocupam os espaços conforme o sentido no qual acreditam, definitivamente o-que-se-passou-e-como-há-de-terminar, definitivamente?

Programe-se: apenas dias 20 e 21 de fevereiro (terça e quarta) às 15h e com entrada franca.

O acontecimento integra a programação da Bienal Internacional de Curitiba em seu Circuito de Galerias. É um dos fragmentos da Obra em Progresso, projeto que dialoga com o livro Finnegans Wake de James Joyce e que já apresentou as performances Streaming (via Facebook) e Sobreposição (na Airez Galeria). Cartografia dá segmento à pesquisa de formas de relação com o espectador através de outras utilizações de espaços e dispositivos.

Now how it works

Cartography works like this: you go to the lobby of Guaíra Theater (Curitiba-Brazil) taking your FM radio and your headset. Only there you will be able to tune our radio, which emits short-range waves.

There you will follow an audio narrative while you are invited to look at the public space through the windows.

What’s going on there? Life, the city, the people occupying the space according to the way they think they need it, maybe some artists intervening there, maybe that’s your head cause-people-is-crazy-and-that-happens-all-time, definitely some artists intervening there, definitely this people is crazy, definitely none of that makes sense, definitely people seek meaning in everything and occupy the spaces according to the sense in which they believe, definitely what-has-gone-and-how-it-ends definitely?”

Make your plans: only on February 20 and 21 (Tuesday and Wednesday) at 3:00 p.m. and with free admission.

REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR RADIO (it can be a player or even your cell phone if it has FM wave pickup).

The event is part of the International Biennial of Curitiba in its Circuit de Galleries. It is one of the fragments of the Work in Progress, a project that dialogues with James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake and has already presented the performances Streaming (via Facebook) and Overlay (at Airez Gallery). Cartography gives segment to the research of forms of relation with the viewer through other uses of spaces and devices.
