Incêndio é um trabalho solo da artista Ana Ferreira, integrante do Agora Coletivo. Através da metáfora de um grande fogo destruidor e belo, a peça busca a poesia de um presente sempre fadado a acabar e ausente de sentido. Paradoxalmente, é possível tecer uma rede de associações entre os signos expostos e notar várias camadas de significação. Gozo e dor, violência e cuidado, desejo pela morte e desejo pela vida, são imagens da mesma grande fogueira na qual arte e vida se entrelaçam intimamente. Numa linguagem de intersecção entre performance, dança e teatro, o humano aparece como inexprimível de qualquer forma.

Wild Fire is a solo work of the artist Ana Ferreira, member of Collective Agora. By the metaphor of a destroyer and beautiful great fire, the play presents the poetry of a present that is always faded to end and absent of sense. Paradoxically, it is possible to weave a net of associations between the exposed signs and to observe many layers of meaning. Enjoyment and pain, violence and care, desire for death and desire for life, are all images of the same great fire in which art and life get closely linked. In a language of intersection between performance art, dance and theatre, the human is shown as inexpressible in any way.

Uma imagem é proposta ao público: todos os presentes se jogarão em um incêndio em um ‘lindo’ ato de suicídio coletivo. A partir deste jogo com a ficção, as ações desenvolvidas em cena passam a poder ser vistas como atos poéticos, símbolos deste atirar-se ao fogo, esse que se confunde com a vida, a morte e a arte.

An image is proposed to the audience: all people present will throw themselves in a wild fire, a ‘beautiful’ collective suicide act. Within this fiction game, the actions that take place can be seen as poetic acts, symbols of that throwing oneself into the fire, into that nebulous thing that is confused with life, death and art.
